Prior information notices
Newcastle University has unveiled plans to roll out a new digital assessment system. According to a prior information notice, the supplier will be tasked with supporting “high stakes secure online exams at the university”. The university is specifically looking for a vendor which already provides a similar service to other universities and can offer an off the shelf solution.

Tenders
The largest tender of the week comes from Tower Hamlets council, which is looking to procure a customer relationship management system. The contract has an estimated value of £17.5m and will remain in place for 11 years. The closing date for applications is 23 December.

Awards
Cricle IT has secured the single largest award unveiled last week: a £15.4m contract to overhaul Cardiff University’s IT network. The tender notice stated that university was “exploring a ‘working partnership’ based approach where its appointed supplier will deliver the new IT network; providing an overall design and replacement programme that meets the University’s identified current and future needs whilst protecting its investment in technology.”
